Cool! Is there a separate level control for echo and vibrato? No speed control? Ever hook up both through separate amps at the same time?

There is no speed control. It's pretty much a one-sound effect, but there is an effect level control to adjust the wetness. You can't adjust the delay time or the vibrato rate.

It's a good thing I love the one sound it does.

I love the turning-it-off trick! Imagine if you wired up a foot pedal to do that!

*hopes some day there's a plug-in for this, but seriously doubts it*

The tone is straight into a Fender Deluxe with the reverb off. All the vibrato and echo/reverb is the Tel-Ray.

There is a plug-in for it. It doesn't do the vibrato as well (the Variation control) but you can still get some of the tubby splatter echoes:

I've used those old sewing machine forward/reverse foot-pedals for a DIY Leslie. The sewing machine thing has a 2 prong power outlet that you can plug your device into and the pedal will apply power or not as you hold it down. You can find these for super cheap at second hand stores....

Sounds great! I have used the plug-in, but you're right, it ain't quite the same.

That sounds awesome, even if it's a one trick pony. Making a foot switch for that on/off toggle would be the bees knees.
