Well, after having seen some TD material, I just don't feel so good pickin on the guy, I mean he's not doing anything bad except inflating the prices of some equipment he's using and buying the Waves platinum bundle..
Has anybody had a chance of listening to stuff he's mixed? I'd be curious, maybe his mixes kick ass (for sure they don't sound heavy on 500Hz..).
And, on top of that, I kind of like the iamawarrior thing, looks like very sincere to me..

C'mon, you can't possibly believe what's written on my avatar..

I feeling kind of bad about this now, I mean if he read this, or any other Tad based thread he would probably off himself. Then again, he kind of seems like the type to be absolutely unaffected by the opinions of others.
So Tad, don?t jump your brave as hell for even attempting a commercial recording studio.

I guess this qualifies as , "Any press, is good press"MoreSpaceEcho wrote:tad doesn't seem too short on self-belief, so i doubt he'd be too concerned with the opinions of us snarky fuckers here. and hey, we're all sitting around talking about HIS studio, no one on any other messageboards are talking about any of OUR studios...

Your right to a point, this type of post is a little more GS than TapeOp but as well as supporting anyone?s dream of recording, TapeOp also (in my mind) frowns upon mis-information, and blanket terms like 'Industry Standard'.
These were the main reasons for the initial bashing of this gentleman, even before any of us even saw his website. It was those painfully inaccurate ?how to? videos, not his valiant effort at making good recordings.
Alright now I'm a done....seriously....still cracks me up though.

***Curt slinks off to Google his studio's website. Comes back somewhat relieved.***
