Well, that's how a vocoder works, I think. Run the vocal through it, but nothing sounds unless a key is pressed. wow that puts my auto tuned turkeys to shame.
if that dude made a dvd i would buy it, but i could only imagine the rights fiasco involved with trying to release this stuff commercially... but both of his videos put portray their figures positively so who knows.
regardless. it does make me hate auto tune a little less though, and actually be okay with watching a billy mays infomercial
