Thanks Larry! I've been reading TapeOp for years and always enjoy it, but this issue is just stellar! I couldn't put it down, read it cover to cover. Great interviews with Snuff Garrett and Al Kooper, the Ableton guys... Snuff is my new idol, great stories! Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Gosh, thanks. I wasn't sure how people would receive the Snuff interview. I had a blast hanging with him, and he just called and said how much he liked it! Someone should write a book about him.

The Snuff interview was very engaging. I really dislike most of the stuff I've heard that he's responsible for, but he's such a character it didn't matter. Plus, there's the Texan angle

I don't care for Moby, either, but LOVED reading his feelings on the higher purpose of music. He certainly came off as a solid individual.

Great issue. Made me appreciate the artist despite my distaste for their art.

The Steven Wilson interview was my favorite.

But then, I'm a fan...

I thought the Snuff Garrett interview was an incredible read. That guy knows how to cuss and his quote hating everyone's song and kicking their fucking ass is priceless.

Didn't dig the Steven Wilson article as much. Kinda boring/pretentious.

I laughed out loud at the Snuff Garrett interview. Ah those oversized music business personalities. All props to him though I probably couldn't work with him.

I just interviewed someone who did and they only had the nicest things to say about him. Snuff was driven to get hit songs, he made it happen, and the people he worked with respected that. It was a different era, but I don't think there will be a Scott Storch interview in Tape Op 40 years from now that will be .000000001% as interesting.

I should have said, All props to him though I probably couldn't have worked with him, but I would have loved to have tried. I'm a geezer myself and I realize all too well what we're losing with the passage of time.
