bad frequency through amps at live venue

Post by cnovey » Sat Sep 26, 2009 3:25 pm

Hello-

I have a very annoying tone that comes through amps etc plugged in at a fav local venue and I am trying to figure out how to get rid of it. The tone is approx 3rd G above C at 1568Hz. The venue is in a sort of strip mall config and I do not know if the tone comes from other stores or what. I am looking to learn how to isolate, identify, filter, or fix it.

Here is a small sample (you can hear me start to cuss about it- hah)-

any help appreciated-

Clifford

you mean backline amps or PA amps? (guitar amps and such make the noise)

No chance this is feedback from a plate reverb or similar, is there?
