Avett Brothers - holy cow!
after reading the Doug Williams interview I had to check out some Avett Brothers and HOLY COW they are amazing. haven't really listened to anything else since I picked up some of their albums on eMusic, who has almost all their albums on sale for half the download credits they would normally cost. incredible songwriting and delivery.

nope; I think that's talked about in the article.
Thanks Chris! I thought we might at least get into the Avett remote jobs a bit, and that got skipped too. Nothing like making a record in a house you've never seen, with a piano that's being moved for the job!

Well, you know I would have loved a Poprocket shout out, but that's going WAY back!emrr wrote:Thanks Chris! I thought we might at least get into the Avett remote jobs a bit, and that got skipped too. That IS way back.
I did the demo's for I&L&U, some of which appear, in rough mix form, on the deluxe box edition. I took a crack at a couple of mixes for the record, but I believe the final mixes are all Ryan's.
Avett related records for which I am partially to blame include:
Nemo
OWAN
about 1/2 of Mignonette
recording setup and mix of Timothy Seth Avett As Darling - The Mourning, The Silver, The Bell
Four Thieves Gone
The Gleam
mix of New Jersey Transient (Bob Crawford)
Jim Avett and Family
The Second Gleam
Four of those were done on location; house, garage, living room, etc.
