iPod/iPhone vsts

Post by wedge » Sun Oct 31, 2010 10:17 pm

Is it possible at all to run vsts or something similar on an iPod/iPhone using a MIDI keyboard and then take the audio out with acceptable latency for playing live?

Yes, there are a few. This one comes to mind first:

The truth of a proposition has nothing to do with its credibility. And vice versa.

That looks great... I should explain my situation, though... I have a MIDI keyboard that I want to connect to a netbook or iPod for performing. The netbook I know can be done for sure, but I was wondering if I can do the same with an iPod?

I'd love to be able to do the same thing. There are a ton of really great sounding apps out there but playing them with a tiny touch screen keyboard is way too much of a pain in the ass.
Line 6 makes a midi in/out for the iPhone. I'm just not sure if it's supported by anything other than their own apps.
