FS: Yamaha MT44D 4 track recorder/cassette deck

Post by KoffeeKommando » Wed Apr 27, 2011 9:43 am

Hey, I was waiting for "williamsongs" to buy this Yamaha 4 track deck from me. He has not been back to Tape Op in a while.

Soooo....it's up for grabs.

It's got some scratches but still works perfect. This is the deck you want to rock cassette recordings in 2011. It has Dolby B-C. Normal speed recording only.

It uses a little sensor sticker to enable 4 track recording. Here is info on how to bypass etc.:

Near the bottom shows the unit I have. It's just the bare deck.

This is a real 4-track unit with good audio quality. It's not an economy model. I have the little mixer that came with it but it was damaged on two channels. If you want I'll throw it in. It will up the shipping price cause it's fairly heavy. Might not be worth it to you as the mixer is kind of a bear to take apart etc. (needs two faders).

I'll sell it for $50.

Email is preferred as I don't check Tape Op daily:

Saw your Yamaha board on your Flickr page. Thats a great piece. I just sold my RM1608 in order to attain a smaller footprint, but I miss those EQs...

Hey, get in touch with me. I'd like as much info on the Yamaha board as I can get!

Yeah the EQ section seems to kick ass. My board is VERY quiet. I was shocked the first time I did a test recording. I keep asking but nobody knows about these models. Mine was $10,000 when new. There is one German guy that has a 2408. He has schematics and a few other things.
