Free Mid-Side processing plug-ins... your feedback please!
Pluggo, OS X
New Freeware: Mid-Side Suite
This pair of plug-ins makes mid-side processing easy! Use the decoder to process mid-side mic tracks into a variable-width stereo field. Or, use the encoder and decoder together, to selectively process mid and side information from a standard stereo track.

I'd love to get some feedback on the naming of these plug-ins. They are named MS from LR (the encoder) and MS to LR (the decoder).
I wanted them to appear sequentially in a plug-in menu, so hence the slightly awkward "MS from LR" (instead of "LR to MS").
Also, I wanted them to appear in that order, to make it intuitive to place an encoder first, then a decoder, when processing standard stereo tracks. Since calling them
"MS Encoder" and "MS Decoder" would sort them alphabetically backwards from how I wanted them, that was out.
Arg, probably just one of those things I'm overthinking...
Again, as with the freeware Polarizer plug-in, I'll do a port to Windows of this if there's interest.

After some further thought, I renamed the plug-ins... it was just seeming too confusing the way that I had it before.
The plug-ins are now named:
MS Encoder (from LR)
MS Decoder (to LR)
(There's a double-space in the Encoder name, to force it to sort first alphabetically, but you can't see it when viewed in the web browser).
cheers,
Leigh

Is it not working on Win7?groover wrote:would love a Win7 version!
Are you running the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Win7?
If 64-bit, there's a note here (a couple posts down) on getting Pluggo to work on those systems:

What are the system requirements for this plug? I'm using the now ancient PT 6.4 on Mac OSX 10.3.9
