"Inductor Dope"?
"Inductor Dope"?
i'm trying my hand at an old 40s era project i ran across, and it requires you to wind your own inductor - i'm clear on everything except "Inductor Dope," which they claim can be had at any electronics shop...

I recall that "dope" was a substance used in making dirigibles...they smeared it all over the Hindenburg, for example.

is this the poly dope you're referring to, Jim?
So, when using this stuff, i just do my coil and then brush a layer on? Any advice for securing the winding until everything sets up?
AndyHutchinson, this is the joint: http://www.tubebooks.org/technical_books_online.htm
