Who needs recording gear!? I just bought a good size Electro Voice sound rig, this is one of the first gigs I took it out. Unfortunately, FOH was to the side... Corporate gigs are a pain... I live the system though! And a trailer too!

i like those presonus studio live consoles. id ALMOST take one over the yamaha m7 i work on. super easy to use, and theres not a million ways to do each thing!

and on topic, sort of; i just scored a bunch more old par cans. some par 38's and 2 bars of 4 par48 cans, wired in pairs. gonna look GREAT somewhere. lol

I know. the wireless belong to the band I work for. 58 capsules, ugh.. I'd have 'em on something else in a heartbeat.

Just gotta used EV RE320 offa Ebay (US$202 shipped).

So far I will say it is more sensitive and feeds back easier than the 421. The "kick drum" EQ is cool, makes yer voice all radio-ready. I've used it with the flat EQ onna lead voc (with the 421 on BV's) on a new song in progress, and it's sounding great so far.

Just got an Allen and Heath Scepter, and although I haven't mixed much through it yet I really like the way it sounds. Its mic pres are pretty cool and it seems like it'll be great as a little summing mixer, which is what I'll mostly be using it for. The only thing that I like more about my Studiomaster Trilogy is its high EQ shelf and more flexible routing options, but now I have them side by side and can use either or both.

I'm quite happy with the setup.

And a Symetrix CL-100. Hard to pass up for $40.
