So there is this computer at work...

...and it has a really crappy set of speakers and a subwoofer. I say 'really crappy' only because it shreds my mixes apart like a wood chipper. I listen to music on it and it just sounds like music on cheap speakers. I play my mixes on them and I can't wait to get home and fix stuff. I usually check mixes on as many different systems as I can, and feel like I have a fairly decent handle on how my mixes translate with no major surprises, but this system is my nemesis.

I think I'm gonna pull a set of these dogs off ebay?

So,are you saying that these speakers make you wanna fix stuff in "your" mix because they reveal more of unpleasantries,or are they just crappy and make all music sound bad..?..If the first part, sound like a good set of speakers to keep around to get your mix dialed in..( ie..NS-10s..?)... ..Good luck

Yeah, 'regular' music sounds 'ok', but my mixes fall apart in a much worse way than they do on any other system that I know of.

Maybe I will just replace these with something better and take them home. Two birds, one stone. Hmmm....
