replacement tape for space echo 201

Post by joninc » Tue May 29, 2012 6:29 pm

my tape seems to have gotten garbled (not sure how, the heads are dead clean and it was recently serviced)

what do you guys use? i know i can pick up some on ebay but want to make sure i check with the experts first

(i have some 406 and 911 1/4 inch tape - would that work? how do you put a new loop in? how long is it?)

thanks!

Last year Larry or somebody else on here gave me the right answer to that question; crack open an 8-track cassette and use that tape. That is the magic bullet for space echos. Screw ebay. Old 8-tracks are free on craigslist every day someone cleans out a basement.

Works like a charm.
