Rarefied Recording - Wes Lachot design

Post by klangtone » Fri Dec 07, 2012 4:17 pm

While I'm in a posting mood might as well make this announcement:

I'm in process of building out a studio in San Diego. It's about 800sqft and designed by Wes Lachot. We kicked off talks in October 2010 and 2+ years later it's getting (sorta) close to completion!

I didn't do a full on construction blog because that's been done enough by others, but I have some pics up and ongoing at https://www.facebook.com/RarefiedRecording .

Enjoy!

Looks great so far!

Wes is a fantastic designer. I'm sure you will be more than thrilled with how it turns out. Good luck!

Thanks!

I'm sure it will be great.
Wes is awesome.
There's a reason why he is a busy busy man.

Looks awesome! Can I bug you with a few questions? I might some day be building a similar sized structure and I'm curious.

Thanks, Brad!

It's an honor to join the ranks.
Things are starting to come together. I think Wes will be out here at the beginning of May to tune the room.

Very excited!!!

You're entering a club with a lot of very happy members.

Seriously, I knew it would be good, but Wes and Tony and the guys outshined even my most outrageous expectations.

Thanks, Marc.

I already am blown away by the level of service provided by Wes and Tony and Thom and everyone. Anyone looking to build a professionally designed studio should have Wes and his A team at the top of their list.

Can't wait to hear what these rooms can do!

FYI, Wes put up some pics of my studio on his website:

http://www.weslachot.com/project29.html

The Control Room came out great. It sounds amazing and objectively measures quite well (+/-7dB in the low frequencies). Wes says the best rooms measure +/-5dB.

Enjoy!
