I'm at the studio - sessions never go home on snow days. I'm wondering how I'm getting home tonight though...

Just ice coming down all day, and not much either. Lots of little snow drifts, but I think the big stuff missed me...I haven't gone out today, though I'm planning a trip to Seattle this weekend and I hope it's warmed up.
Yours,

Piotr

Im in SW Federal Way, 8 inches and I stayed home after just an inch of snow. Mainly because I knew getting home would be impossible. I went sledding almost all day, right in front of my house. I did work in the studio a little, and I blew a furman power stripper. ZzzzzPop! This mornings commute was a slushfest, lots of transformers blowing out after ice covered trees yanked the powerlines down. Yayyy for underground electricity.

Peace,
Dennis

Hell yeah, Snow days rule. Didn't have to work yesterday cause of the snow, sat at home with friends drinking Elysian Porter and watching bad movies... didn't make it to the studio like planned, ahhh relaxing snow days. Walking to work today about sucked, with all the slush, saw a couple of people take a fall... and even today the office is very empty, looks like a tape op web board day at the office today!

my 20 minutes bus commute turned into a 2 hour trek. spent most of the time watching drivers do 180's. fun stuff. the exit for the North end buses trying to make it into the tunnel was a log jam. i can't remember the last time when you couldnt see the pavment on Pike street.

Now the issue is the trees falling over. These big firs just snapping like twigs in the high country. It's not bad in the city 'cus it's still so warm, but I was just talking to someone up in Redmond and heard a big thud in the background and we all gasps "oh no!....oh good it missed my house" pheewww...

So I go down to my studio today to work on some personal stuff and there's a fawking leak in the ceiling. Arrrgggghhh! Nothing got ruined except a section of carpet that will need replacing. And now my studio has that sweet smell of mildew. Sniff sniff, ahhhh.

Just thought I'd share my tales of whoa! and maybe get a little sympathy.

Shawn

Anyone have any carpet they don't need?
