what Reverbs are you using right now?

Want to get a peek behind the curtain and see what everyone else is up to currently. What reverbs, outboard or plugin, are you using right now? Any genre or instrument specific pieces you find yourself going back to? Ive been stuck on my kurzweil rumour's plate for vocals for a long time now. Only switched to Rverbs hall settings on a more sparse acoustic singer songwriter session. Also dverb on snare sometimes, and have used sonnox oxford reverb on acoustic guitar with good results. Might be getting a little self conscious about always going for the same kurzweil plate setting for vocals.

My main go-to for lots of situations is re-amping into the live room. Other than that I use a Peavey Valverb a lot on all kinds of sources (vocals, guitars, organs, drums, horns).

Different things in different situations. We have a lot of hardware in the control room, but just as often use stock plug-in or whatever is in Sonar X1 (or in my case Korg D3200 stock FX). I guess the hardware gems are Lexicon, an old Pioneer spring reverb, older funky Boss stuff, and for delays Effectron Jr. and MXR. We can patch in and out, but sometimes it's easier to go plug-in (or on-board in my case-- I really like the Korg).

In the DJ/live PA rack, Boss SE-50 (noise-y mutha but there's one or two programs I use), ART, a few select stomp-boxes, and the stock Mackie and Behringer FX... Plus I have a couple of funky programs on the mini Kaoss Pad.

From most frequently to least often used:

- TC Electronic M2000 (gold plate, percussion room, small room, medium room)
- Effectron (often in conjunction with other boxes)
- Sound Workshop Spring (I love this thing, but it's pretty noisy)
- Reamp into the live room (often with a pinch of digital reverb to the signal going through the amp, this tends to extend my medium/small room decay as well as bouncing fake reverb off real walls)
- EH Holy Grail Nano (most often when I'm already reamping)
- Yamaha SPX90 (only for heavy handed The Cure moments, also has a hilarious phaser that sometimes makes magic)

I use a lot of different ones.

From a hardware lexicon MX400, to free reverb plug ins from different companies.

Currently, on the album I am mixing now, I am relying on Waves IR convolution reverbs, along with PSP SpringBox and PSP Echo, and a few others like Nomad Factory's BlueVerb DRV-2080, and even Logic Pro's Space Designer, running on a different computer, as an effects box only.

I love the Sonnox Oxford which you already have. It's gorgeous.

Focusrite's Scarlett suite has a smooth and useful verb.

Other than that, I dig the sound of an old Lexicon mpx100 (90's?). It's a simple box and has a really cool special fx patch that combines reverb/delay. Very nice and useful for native american flute and stuff like that.

I could have bought the UA Apollo just for the EMT 250 program on it.
That was always my favorite reverb back in the '80's. I'm awfully glad to have
those sounds at my fingertips now at home.

One reason I still work with Cool Edit is the FX; I really love the native reverbs and, other than lotsa room mic's (guitar amps, for example are one close, and one 3-6' out in my bedio) and the odd pedal on a guitar, use them pretty much exclusively.

on a heavy spring kick of late: the trusty tube pinoeer, several amps with tanks that range in complexity of construction - reamping them into my live room. My fave is probably one I pulled out of a solid state Wurlitzer - probably a no-no to do so, but I've been putting it between two cloned altec tube pres and pushing it to the brink. it starts playing it's own song, sometimes giving me the idea for an extra part.
