Looking for a Yamaha PM-2000

Post by niva » Tue Apr 15, 2014 8:29 am

Hi there!

I am looking for an old Yamaha PM 2000 console (24 or 32 channels) for my home studio project. It doesn't have to be in A-1 condition as I am planning to modify it.

I would also be interested into something similar like a Yamaha M-1532 or an old Ward Beck, Chilton, McCurdy, etc, console.

So if you have a PM 2000 around that you would be interested to sell, or know someone who has one for sale, just let me know.

I am living close to Montreal but I am willing to drive up to eastern Canada/ Northern states of USA.

Many thanks!

The ad just got refreshed a little. It's no longer listed as "digital mixers."

Scum,

I can't believe you're not all over that shit. (No room?) The JLM modification for the eq makes it really really good. (for folks interested in the PM2K, the mid band eqs aren't very useful as it is. The bands are very narrow. Maybe that can be remedied by some resistor changes, but the best bet is the JLM eq mod which makes it fully inductor based, and I guess more API 'ish) I also installed an API style summing buss for the main buss on mine. It's pretty much my favorite thing in my studio. Even stock, much more usable than a PM1K (which I used to have)

If anybody here buys those guys, I wouldn't mind a couple extra strips myself.

Well, that's unfortunate for the original poster. If you want to sell em, he's still interested. I was trying to grab them so I would have a spare and he'd get one.

If you have 3 spare channels, I need some still.

PM me if you do.

Yes, obviously, I am still looking for a PM-2000. If you have one for sale, just give me a sign.
