alesis monitor one replacements

I've used alesis monitor one (passive) for monitoring and mixing for over ten years. My ears have gotten used to them, but I need to move an active system (I'm done with separate amps). Is there anything you can recommend that would sound similar. I've gotten quite used to mixing on these. I'm not a pro so I'm not looking to spend a ton of cash.

I have had good results from these:

Yamaha MSP 5's. 5" with tweeters, self powered. They also have larger ones.

If you need 8" ones, I love the JBL LSR4308s.

or maybe forget about trying to match the sound of those and get something that sounds really good and won't break the bank. I think the Equator D5's fit that (or D8's if you want to spend a little more)

they don't have huge ad campaigns so search the online boards/forums and you'll see that they get pretty good reviews.

Good point I don't have to find something that sounds like those. I'll just have to retrain my ears.

I've heard good things about the Equators elsewhere and they are definitely on the list.

What's wrong with an amp? You already have one, why discard it for powered monitors. Like you, I recently replaced my Monitor 1s after using them for 15 years or so. Replaced them with Tannoy reveals (passive). These were a big improvement.
