EV Electrovoice RE Mic Selloff...
Hey all...
Love these EV RE mics on so-ooo many things, from amps to vocals, so would pick 'em up whenever I saw them for sale...
Turns out I picked up too many...
So, 6 mics...
An RE 10, an RE15, two RE16's, and two RE18's...
All are scratched--super easy to re-paint these things, but I'm just too slammed...
Grills are all OK...
All labels intact...
750.00 shipped/insured to the CONUS...

Sorry about that!
(I really wanted to keep this stash together)...
600.00 for the remaining 5 mics...
I'm just wondering but, you mentioned "repainting" these microphones. What color of paint would one use to re-finish an EV RE-15?? Also, is it possible to restore an RE-15 to perfect working condition?
(I don't know where else to put this so....if this is in the wrong place, the Mods can move it).
Thanks,
Tony Trout

Mask the label, remove the screen, and go buy a rattlecan of gun metal gray...Tony Trout wrote:tonewoods wrote:OK, the RE15 is SOLD...

I spent more time in the Avalon than I should probably admit to..vvv wrote:Quick OT story, years ago playing a certain club in Chicago (Avalon) the sound guy would try to use EV RE's and we'd object, demanding the "newer" SM57's.
All my RE's (except one PE635) are kinda scratched - and all sound brilliant.
Ha! Played there a bunch in mebbe 3 different bands and went to shows a lot, also.
Memorable shows included The Impotent Seasnakes, The Beat Farmers, New Duncan Imperials, Smashing Pumpkins, Spies Who Surf, and even The Dan Reed Network ... Tons more - I even had a Avalon comp card.
Met a bunch of people, from Corgan to Dio to Downtown Scotty Brown ...
I think Mike Yerke booked it?
That was a hang for me because I lived mebbe a mile away for 8-9 years.
I have a large framed B&W picture called "Father and Sons" that has Muddy, Keef and Wood, shot at that club when it was called, I think, Tuts.
