4 track restoration.

Hi,
I have many 4 track x2 speed masters to dump to digital. Unfortunately, the Tascam 644 has lost the main logic, and I would like to do all 4 tracks direct from tape to output, which it wouldn't do. It looks like the 234 would do the job, but I don't know if it does x2 speed, and they are way over priced on the used mkt.
Does anyone know another better quality machine that would do the job, and not cost a first born son, or does anyone do these transfers for hire?
