Total fave. I saw him on the So. Accents tour wit Dylan - talk about confuzzin'.

But when he broke into "Breakdown", "Refugee", Here Comes My Girl", that Animals cover ... everything was understood.

Kinda cool all the tribute performances. George Harrison's son Dhani, on Kimmel the other night, had "T.P." and a broken heart writ on his Charvel.

Yeah, he was highly respected. Lucinda Williams posted a lovely tribute as well.

As a guy who refuses to play in cover bands, I think I've covered around 10 of his songs over the years, starting with "Breakdown".

Actually, "Breakdown" was the second guitar solo part I taught myself, following "Sympathy for the Devil".
