DC Street Musician - (Sick bassist) - field recording

Post by logancircle » Sat Oct 28, 2017 8:20 am

Hidden gem: This total bass shred nerd sets up and plays a few times a week. He starts with 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and goes on from there. If you can get past the people are still bass tapping? thing, give https://youtu.be/8FAcP3xE6Hg a listen while you're cleaning your room/ironing clothes/on the elliptical.

Hey, pretty sick bass playing, and decent recording too! Did you make it? What with?

Thanks, yeah I recorded with my Zoom H2n. If you get in the right placement, this little recorder is such a badass. I could've gotten right up to his amp, but I like the city noise in the recording. But I also like lo-fi dirt and miking drums with just one mic, so go figure ;)

Very cool, Logan. I have an H1, and I've taken that bad boy around the world and across the country. They are great performers for the low amount of coin invested...

One thing I'll say about the H2n... the batteries last for-ev-er. It's unbelievable. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, but I've been waiting a long time...
