My advice (which you probably don't need) is to keep gutters clean and make sure they carry the water far away from the building. I've had to cope with a lot of water problems in various homes, so I feel your pain. My general experience is that good gutters go a long way toward alleviating misery.
And the new place looks amazing!

Oh yeah, no worries. I have the cleanest gutters in new england, I assure you! And they're tied into the discharge pipe for the drains, all the water goes far away from the building.

Yeah, I tell people, whenever your basement leaks look up. You've got a clogged downspout or dripping gutter usually.

We got the remnants of Michael on Friday morning, after getting a bunch of rain on Thursday, and sweet jesus I could see that my french drains are actually working now. Water streaming out the discharge pipe long after the rain had stopped and the gutters had cleared. What a sight.

Congrats on getting your on place, mse! Impressive build-out you did too. Fingers crossed on keeping the flood waters at bay. May you have great success in the new office!
