Maybe RCA’s final remote preamp product from the early ’70’s. XLR in, binding posts out. Transformer in/out, IC based circuit. Panel on front covers hole for optional VU meter. Has terminals for 30VDC battery input (5 x 6VDC). 30dB input pad built in, 70dB gain. Someone recapped it somewhat recently before I acquired it. Works fine, really flat response, but not the quietest thing.
$100 plus shipping/insurance

Been awhile since I used it, but I’d say medium to loud sources, maybe ok with a quiet source and a high output mic. Depends on so many things....including how much you want to lean into RX7.
