Show Us Your Junk - cool gear porn YouTube Channel
Thought I'd share this since I just found it and enjoyed it. I only watched the Albini one so far, but I really liked it, even though I'm not an Albini super-fan or anything.

Which should I watch next? I haven't heard of a lot of these guys.
Edit: I should add that these videos are indeed advertisements for EarthQuaker Devices. I am not affiliated with them in any way and I'm quite sensitive to being advertised to, but I found these videos to be well worth the "cost" of viewing some logos and hearing some product names. Kinda like the magazine, tbh.

Yeah I’ve been watching it all. I’m a big fan of Earthquaker pedals. They are far out sometimes

I saw the Albini one and was amused.
My next views will be Kurt Ballou, Lee Ranaldo & Joe Baressi.

John Vanderslice's studio Tiny Telephone, wow. That dude and studio seem awesome, his recording philosophy and studio philosophy (free tape, free weed, free coffee) is sweet. i need to make a record there one day.

I thought it seemed rather utopian myself. Would love to go there.markjazzbassist wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 6:26 amJohn Vanderslice's studio Tiny Telephone, wow. I kinda feel like Kurt Ballou might kick yer arse for free while in session.
Kidding! He was actually a funny and nice guy in my emails with him.

Kurt's a very nice guy.
I've watched a few of these, the Tiny Telephone one was good.
Not the same series, but on a similar theme, check out Warren Huart's interview with Mark Rubel at Blackbird. Prepare to lose your mind at the sheer volume of amazing stuff they have there.

It seems like Kurt Ballou is gearing up to sell custom guitars and pedals.
Re: Show Us Your Junk - cool gear porn YouTube Channel
Don't get too into those vids. They're just Earthquaker promo commercials. The participants probably had some incentives to do them.

Yes and no. There are lots of shots of earthquaker gear and it’s clear that they’re the ones behind the videos but there are no outright plugs and they are not the focus of the discussion (at least on the episodes I’ve watched).
The vids are obviously promo for them but it’s a pretty mild form and there’s lots of worthwhile content there not related to earthquaker

Albini showed some of their pedals but never mentioned the manufacturer.

Even on the pedal board videos the artists are able to hype other non-Earthquaker pedals. They seem to do this stuff pretty classy, adding to the respect I already had for that company.
