I have a fostex 1/4" reel-to-reel right near a drum set. I've never been able to evaluate my drum skills though. I've been playing for over 30 years? I can do a paradiddle.

Almost forgot: Please steal my drum tracks. and more.

So how's life... You?

I kind of stopped visiting when TOMB decoupled from TO as TO was my gateway to TOMB and I was too lazy to set up a new bookmark.

Also I stopped recording for several years but I'm trying to get back into it now.

I still play that Lilac Hand track from time to time - check in at the other board - there's some action there lately

DM me your link and I'll have a shot at some drums

I was over there in September but down in Cornwall for holiday and then a few days in London

Still miss driving on the highways and navigating the small country roads - so much more fun than the states

Actually, I was going to send a reel of tape. I've got eight new songs that I wrote back in 2011/12 for a band I was in at the time. My plan was to record guide vox and click tracks for each song and then get bass and drums down. I'm currently engaged in completing the first part.

My other option is to find someone who's actually willing to come over to my place and lay down the drums there (I have most of a small student kit), but I've not had much luck getting anyone I know here in Leicester interested.

Hey! I'm a pretty good drummer who owns a 388. Don't know if you feel like shipping to L.A. and back though...

Actually, I'm okay with that idea. Any advice on packaging? I don't want my sloppily recorded rough tracks wiped clean by an over enthusiastic DHS employee.

I've been working on arranging my gear to simplify my workflow. I think I need a rack and patchbay.

That I dont know. My experience is that it's more relaxed than I think, but maybe people with more experience can chime in.
