Mixing a band with a single, mono electric guitar
Re: Mixing a band with a single, mono electric guitar
Re the multi-amps to one played part thing, I first read of that re Alice in Chains' Dirt in, I think, Guitar Player.
But here's some of the info:

Here's an example of the 2 mic hard-panned on one amp deal.
The gory details: Gibson SG -> Electronic Audio Experiments Mu Blaster -> Marshall JMP 2204 (super cranked) -> vintage Marshall 4x12 with Greenbacks and G12H30s -> sE VR1 (GB) / 421 (H30) -> Great River preamps -> Capi 553F (with the tiniest of lifts on all 3 freqs, HPF 30hz/LPF 22khz).
All instruments tracked in the same [very large] room, very close to each other, crazy loud. Purposely mixed fast and loose, cause that's how my dudes roll. I finished mixing this at about 11 PM Wednesday night and they had this vid ready about 23 hours later, release is in 1 week. Talk about efficiency. haha.

Dry and room mic panned center,or just crossed off center. Delay the room mic depending on song tempo. Aux send off room mic to modulated doubler/delay panned to opposite side of B.Vox/Perc/Hi Hat.

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.vvv wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2019 8:03 pmThanx!
The first is a jizzmaster-type guitar into effect pedals with a single mic onna ProJr amp. The fecund is a The Paul guitar into a Tech 21 Cali pedal and a EBS reverb pedal, DI'd.
Both songs are mixed thru a global compressor and reverb patch.
There are kinda abbreviated notes in the "lyrics" dropdown to each choon.
Unless you're trying to say the tracks are pregnant with possibilities.

Really?
(And I like that Greasefire track, also - sounds yuge. Now, if only he was playin' a jizzmaster ... )
