Groove Tubes The Brick Blowing Fuses

Hello all,

I have received this cool looking DI/pre amp of off eBay, from the States (I'm based in the UK). I have swapped out the fuse in there for the UK rated 500mA one, as per the manual. The unit is blowing them upon turning on the power switch--am I missing any thing to do with the voltage etc.? If not, I guess I'll be going back to eBay to try and get some money back!

Hey there, I have some of these. You need to set it up inside the unit first. Also, there were some later runs of the Brick with the label for the fuse revised to say 1 amp. Anyway, changing the fuse alone isn’t enough.

This is a good description below of how to convert it from 120v to 230v:
