What's the name of those stomp box button expander knob thingies again? I think I need a couple.

Earthquaker Rainbow Machine and Acapulco Gold, as well as this cool EV shotgun mic. Now I just need to build a proper mount for it.

Brand new refurbished computer, running XP Pro with a 3.o dual chip set up with DDR3 - top of the line from, say, 2009!
I burned out my 11 year old macheen (actually, some caps went) and bought this offa the Ebog for US$130 with a 1 year warranty, installed my Cool Edit Pro 2,1 and M-Audio Delta44 and, damn! It's fast!

Just bought a Purple MC77. I feel like doing cartwheels. I've wanted one for so damn long.

Been on my list for a really long time too. You'll have to share your thoughts once you put it to work.Recycled_Brains wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2019 10:09 amJust bought a Purple MC77. I feel like doing cartwheels. I've wanted one for so damn long.

Just acquired a Sony APR-24. I received permission from my supervisor to open a recording studio for my audio engineering club (I teach High School).

Plugin Alliance had a couple good sales this last week...picked up Unfiltered Audio Triad (crazy, like all their stuff) and Elysia Phil's Cascade (for more subtle processing).
Also Elektron Analog Drive pedals are being blown out, so decided to see how those are...

I picked up a slightly used parlor guitar a few days ago, from "Simon and Patrick". Canadian maker, somehow affiliated with Godin, Seagull, and the like.
Nice price for a solid wood guitar, now to brush up on my cowboy chord work.

Got a real cheap Roland VG8 on eBay, for a slightly newer and better tracking module to plug my synth guitars into. Pretty wild actually, the very best of 1995.

I have the Art & Lutherie version of that guitar(same company, different brand). It’s been my hi-strung/Nashville tuned guitar for ages and ages. They’re pretty decent for the money. It’s like someone decided to remake/update the old Stella guitars with real wood and adjustable necks.

Re: Latest gear you've acquired.....
I bought a Soyuz SU-013 Fet SDC a few months ago and LOVED IT. So I bought a second and have been trying them on everything... piano, acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, percussion, drum OH and rooms (and snare with the pad)... even did some pretty great sounding vocals on em. The only thing they aren't good for is super quiet stuff as they have some self noise that becomes more apparent in that context...
but overally they are really rich sounding and a great contrast to my more fast/clear AKG 460s...
Very impressed with the nice midrange on them. The longer I do this the more I realize that with digital recording it really has so much to do with capturing good mid range - top and bottom seem a bit easier to get.
