I find myself using the Waves F6 a lot... with the RTA.
also like GEM by overloud
and Axis by Slyfly a lot.

I tend to use the Slate Neve EQ or ReaEQ for more surgical purposes.

ReaEQ sounds fine. Doesn’t add mojo but doesn’t add any harshness when boosting either. The RTA in it is cool so you can see spiky frequencies.
Metric Halo Channnel Strip sounds great. It actually has tone. I use that channel strip all the time. Love it.

Are you guys referring to the Avid or UAD version? I've yet to try either, tho UA's is the next on my list. I'll probably never get to try Avid's as they don't provide a demo. I not at all surprised by this, as Avid is the asshole of the audio body.
