Hey Folks,
I've got a 2018 Macbook Air 1.6ghz processor 16gb RAM. Running Garageband 10.3.2 with an M-Track 2x2 at home and an m-track 8 at my studio.
I have logic x pro but I haven't really dove into it yet. I kind of appreciate how simple Garageband is and most of my content comes from an analog 8 track so all I really need digital for is an occasional overdub, and vocals.
I'm having the classic latency issue where you're trying to play an instrument and the playback has a delay. From what I've read online, it seems Apple may have killed off the ability to change latency settings in Garageband?
Is there any way to fix this issue? I've Googled quite a bit and haven't found any answers.

Move to Logic Pro.
There, you can change your hardware and software IO buffer settings, therefore altering your
latency.
Cheers

Howling at the neighbors. Hoping they have more mic cables.

I use PC's, don't use Macs, don't use Garage Band. As Nick stated, if you are having latency issues, perhaps it is time to start using Logic Pro. For latency issues, this video may be of help: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=F ... 1NDXrCfoTw
He's using an iPad but I would think that the GB program functions would be similar.

Ya, I decided to jump into Logic. It's pretty straight forward as well.
