I got a Useful Arts SFP60. I got it into the rack, but haven't used it yet. Tomorrow afternoon I'm going to make some demos with just 2 mics experimenting with the color section of the Useful Arts.
Here's before and after shots of the racks.

Picked up a Lexicon PCM41. Now I have to figure out which of my other digital delays will have to be sacrificed to make a spot for it.

I've been watching Reverb for a reasonably priced pcm42 forever ("reasonably" is not happening yet). Are the 41's just as cool? They seem to be less desirable, thus cheaper.drumsound wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 9:35 pmGood choice. Got a pair of these ribbon mics handmade in Russia by Igor Burdukov. Have only done a quick comparison to the Royer on a drum kit, but they're sounding great on first listen. Affordable, too.

After years of not really buying anything I recently splashed out on a 48 point patchbay after winning £30 on the Lottery this Wednesday.
The patchbay (a Neutrik) cost me £43 including postage. So the Lottery win covered about 2/3rds of the cost. Which is nice.
Not the most exciting or sexy purchase I know but... Have you ever been down the back of a mixer? This is going to improve my workflow a hundredfold, as in I may actually get some work done once it's all hooked up.

They don't have the input limiter, or the digital read out for time in ms. It think everything else is the same. They sound ridiculously cool. If you're leaving a mix up, take note of the LED on the delay time, all the pots are analog, so if you don't move them the only thing you have to reset is the delay time with the buttons. The "fine tuning" knob stays the same.Recycled_Brains wrote: ↑Thu Jan 30, 2020 9:56 amI've been watching Reverb for a reasonably priced pcm42 forever ("reasonably" is not happening yet).
