The chair you linked to above seems to be a cheaper version of the eChair from the Phantom Focus guy.
We tried a pair and got rid of our Herman Miller chairs and bought 2 more.
Thanks for the info--I'm wondering which seat size you went with. I'm 6 feet tall but with short legs for my height, so I'm waffling. None of my current chairs is as deep as the large, although they all seem to be wider than the regular.
We got the standard size. They have been comfortable for all of us and our clients, male, female many sizes.
Usual comments come after a while..... typically "man, this is a comfortable chair. What's the story with these chairs?"

That's a pretty solid recommendation. Thanks for your help!

I've got a bungee style chair that I swiped from my wife 10 years ago (she wasnt really using it). Its the only chair where I can sit in it all day and never ever get back pain. Been meaning to look up the brand anyway because our kids need some desk chairs so this is a perfect excuse... looks like it's this one from the Container Store. Armless. Relatively low back.

Don’t laugh, but my seat of choice is a piano bench. For whatever reason, I find it most comfortable and versatile. It also helped I sat on one every day for 10 years growing up playing the piano LOL!

When recording guitar, I sit at the drum set facing backward and use the little cheap drum chair. For everything else, including mixing, it's all done while standing up.

We have the Herman Miller Embody chair at Jackpot. I thought we paid $700 for it years ago, prices look scary now! It's got really really good lower back support and it changed my life. So much more comfortable.

If you're concerned about the price of a factory new Aeron, I strongly recommend a used one. I bought my used / reconditioned Aeron model B in 2008, and other than a little (expected) wear & tear on the armrests & lumbar pad, it's in solid shape.
