Well you gotta figure, the settings on your delay pedal might motivate you to play a certain riff. We often futz with the reverb pre delay and decay to match the song.
If you're hearing your music in a space with certain characteristics all of the time, consciously or subconsciously you're going to write to it.
This is the problem with arena rock.
