The Event Safety Alliance (ESA) released a really good PDF on what all would need to be done to have reasonably safe live events, all the way down to things like bathrooms and food service.

There has been research on the topic how strong people are infectuous who show no symptoms.

given the lack of information that came from China in the first place, I can't help but be skeptical about a research paper that also appears to be from China (where the government definitely has control over publications). it also doesn't seem to reflect what is currently going on in the USA. Lots of people were socializing and not wearing masks, and now lots of people getting sick... if only we had contact tracing data to use as the basis for more research... but nope.

Reading comp isn't my strong suit, but a quick skim of that made it sound like it was a study of one asymptomatic (but cv positive) person who came into contact with hundreds of people who didn't get sick. That doesn't feel actionable by me, to me.
