**SOLD** 500-series HRK MP568C mic preamp & colour module (pair)

Post by digitaldrummer » Mon Aug 17, 2020 6:34 am

Here's a pair of Bart HRK MP568C mic preamps. Each is loaded with 2 "colour" modules. (similar concept to the Louder than Liftoff Chroma). The Brit Console and the GT Console. To my ears, Brit Console can add subtle girth to dirty fuzz (if you engage the internal boost jumpers) while the GT console adds warmth and a very sweet top (via NOS Germanium transistors) - almost tube-like.

These are very cool. You start with basic "clean" preamp circuit (which is nice to have when you need it), then you can engage one or both of the "colour" modules, and mix or blend (with the gain and output knob) until you get the sound and levels you want. I have used these for keyboard/synth tracks, drum room mics, and more. They are both in excellent physical and working condition. A little over a year old. I mostly used these for (drum) room mics and they replaced a pair of Vintech 573's because IMO these could do everything they could and more. But times change, and I needed to free up a couple slots again...

************** SOLD ********************

$400 for the pair, shipped in the USA (via USPS likely) and I'll even eat the Paypal fees.

if you are so inclined, it would also be a pretty easy mod to wire these boost jumpers to a mini toggle on the front panel...

I would also be willing to split them up. $220 each (shipped, USA only) but you really do want both of these if you are going to re-amp stereo sources through them. :D

price drop. $400 shipped (USA only) for a pair of 500 pres that can be clean, add color, or in between. Or swap out the DIYRE colour modules and add something totally different.
