Jeez, I used to do that lavalier thing back in the 80's recording with my Porta 1!
Which is a kinda different thing, but you know, like the same, man.

Re: Micing acoustic guitar live recording with loud band
I've actually reamped DI acoustic through a clean amp with an LDC about 4-5 feet out for a live record. The band's soundman owned the acoustic and when he heard some of the mixes he said "I told you my guitar sounded good." He was a little crushed to find out what I'd done to get the sound.

Huh. Do you end up having to EQ a lot ? I feel like it would sound so boomy and dark.

Surprisingly good sound from the lav. And yes, it's a million times better than the piezo all though that can help some.drumsound wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:06 amWhich is still probably better than quacky piezo sound.Recycled_Brains wrote: ↑Fri Nov 13, 2020 7:16 amHuh. There's a bunch of high end acoustic guitar systems that use internal microphones. Usually in conjunction with a pickup.
There are some lav type mics that are sold for just this purpose too. I know AT makes one.
