Who is your favorite 5th Beatle?
Who is your favorite 5th Beatle?
Sure, no one can argue the importance of John, Paul, George and Ringo. But what about the many contributions of the countless "5th Beatles?" On the one hand you have George Martin guiding the fab four in the studio. On the other hand, Pete and Stu were official members. And what about Yoko .?.

How is Jeff Lynne considered a 5th beatle?! Jeff wasn't even famous until a few years after the Beatles had already broken up. Though it is true he did work later on with a few of the individual beatles, and some sort of tribute song to the beatles, none of that warrants him being considered a 5th beatle...Zoetrope wrote:Hey, you forgot Jeff Lynne

I guess there's a lot more people I could have added to the list. Clapton gently wept on the White Album. Linda Evans/McCartney definitely made her mark.
Someday I want to hear someone described at "the 29th Beatle."

NY DJ Murray something was the fifth Beatle. He was a big supporter when they first came to the US.
That's where the reference comes from anyway. He'd refer to himself as the fifth Beatle.
Jeff Lynne produced Free as a Bird and Real Love.
Maybe Bob Dylan? He gave em their first reefer, and told em to stop writing about girls so much.
Or Kaus Voorman? Or Ravi Shankar? or the Maharishi? Or Niel Aspinall? What about Astrid? or the Dentist that gave them the LSD?
Or Billy Preston?
Mike Love?
(I've been watching the Anthology again...sorry)

WTF? No Billy Preston? That's messed up! He's the only thing good on the Let It Be album and, besides Stu, he was the coolest 5th Beatle. My vote for fav 5th is Stu, but Billy is up there. I mean Don't Let Me Down?!? That is one badass electric piano part. Jesus, I get worked up even thinking about it.

Jeff Lynne is Satan. Only he could make surviving Beatles, Tom Petty and the Wilbury's all sound as shitty as ELO. And what the fuck is with that hair and glasses?
Die, Jeff, die.
