Pro Tools : looking for specific hot keys

Post by doc » Fri Feb 06, 2004 11:09 am

Can someone please tell me if there are hot keys for switching between the highlighter, magnifying glass, cutting tool, hand/grabber, etc. rather than clicking on them with the mouse.

Thanks,
Doc

CMD (Apple) or CTRL (PC) + 1-7 will select the magnifier (1) throught the smart tool (7). Also, the F keys starting at F5. Should be in the manual.

yes there are. Crap, what were they. I believe F3, f4, etc, ? or just straight up number keys. Open up a blank session and hit 'em all. i don't think it's a combo press, like command 6 or anything.

did you know you can scroll through the slip/grid modes by using the ~ key? right? MAN, it's been a year. sorry.

The best way I've found to do that is to click the scroll wheel on your mouse when you're in the edit window. Doing that with mine switches in between the different tools (cut, highlight, hand grab, etc). It's pretty quick if you're in there editing.

doesn't the escape key scroll through the various tools too?? I know I use some key up there that scrolls... just can't feel which one it is right now!
