Post by JaredEll » Fri Feb 06, 2004 10:08 pm

This website really gives a comprehensive overview of all the skills needed to play a mean guitar. Quit waisting your time practicing scales and chords... take the shortcut to awesome guitarism and read How to play Guitar by David Fair.

HAHAHAHAHA

funniest site ever.

among my favorite parts:

"It?s completely up to you to decide hoe it should sound. In fact I don?t tune by the sound at all. I wind the strings until they?re all about the same tightness."

What a riot! I do like the statement at the end, though:
"The idea isn?t to feel foolish. The idea is to put a pick in one hand and a guitar in the other and with a tiny movement rule the world."

Later I bought a Fender Telecaster, but it really doesn?t matter what kind you buy as long as the tuning pegs are on the end of the neck where they belong.
Don't you tell me where my tuning pegs should go, you nazi shit.
I am wangtacular.

I remember reading that in the liner notes to the Half Jap Greatest Hits 2CD set. Then when I was listening to it, I realized just how damn good some of the guitar playing, drumming and actual engineering of his songs is. Great songs.

You know what's REALLY funny? That's basically my whole guitar teaching curriculum. "Just push the strings down, dumbass. It's not that hard. *MEDLEYMEEDLEYMEEDLEYMEEEEEEE!*"

So let me get this straight - all I have to do is give you my credit card number, and then tell you if I'd prefer the red or the black guitar? The mono or the rack microphone? Talk about taking the hassle out of shopping for hi end gear!

Thanks Jack!

Ha Ha!

Mixing boards: DIGITAL or ANALOG? ...tell me HOW MANY YOU WANT?
Why, I'll take two of each! I have PRO STUDIO to outfit!

And can someone please explain to me the "Multi V" cable? Does such a beast exist?

This site totally makes the bookmarks list.

Peace,
A
