I heard a snippet of this on NPR and tracked down a larger snippet. Still haven't found an mp3, or bought the album... but..

Its very beautiful... almost as if he's squeezing the emotion out of the pedal steel. great melody that is pretty pop sounding.

i recommend!

indeed, quite an amazing track. and quite an amazing player. the pedal steel is actually the first instrument he learned to play, having lessons as a kid and such. according to a mutual friend, its his "church in a box"!
