So I've been praising these for a while, I finally decided to throw up a pair of Drum OHs during rehearsal today and post the results for everybody to hear.

I have the active, high output models. I think they do very well at capturing a sound source as it really is, and I love the transient response. I feel like I can hear the drums "pop", especially when listening to the 24 bit originals.
Edited to answer your question (kind of): Unfortunately, the last time I used a spaced omni pair like this was probably at least five years ago, in a different room, different drummers etc..., so I'm not sure I can really make a direct comparison. I used to love using an Earthworks spaced pair above the kit; I feel these mics give me something that is definitely in that same ballpark.
