Woman rockers.
Re: Woman rockers.
Women who play music just do it for me. Women rockers especially. Joan Jett live in 1983, 30 feet from the stage is my favorite rock memory. Oh what an impressionable young lad I was.
If rock and roll is about sex, why is it that much more than 1/2 the rockers are guys. The gender ratio is roughly half and half. About 1/2 of the rock stars should be female unless a majority of male rock fans are....
I used to help run an underground club that Bottom would hit at least once a tour as a sort of pit-stop when they were based out of NY. Man, women rockers get my engines going more than anything else and in a way that models and movie stars will never touch in a million years:
DAMN

Well I don't know if I'd call Joni Mitchell a rocker per se. I would call her a frikkin genius.
But hey I like rockers just as much as the next guy, and those Wilson sisters from Heart, well they rock, rock and then they rock some more.

Whoa! Almost forgot about Joan Osbourne!
Her recordings are inconsistent, but listen to her song St. Teresa sometime - that's as good as it gets. Echoes there of the gal singing on the Stones song Gimme Shelter, and let's not forget her either.......was her name Melanie something?

Re: Woman rockers.
There used to be a band back in the mid 90's (maybe they're still around??) from NY called Eve's Plumb. Their frontwoman (I can't think of her name) had a really great voice (really flexible), and she was one of THEE best frontpeople I'd ever seen live. She was pretty cute too.

"Eve's Plumb" is the actual band name - but yeah, I'm pretty sure that's where they got their name.shedshrinetunesilo wrote:Meriphew wrote:
