Revolver is cleverly named, though, innit? I mean, it's an LP so it revolves on the turntable ...

sgt peppers is just an album I've been bored with more than excited by, overall, despite some of the songs being excellent
See, isn't it better to use constructive criticism rather than just issuing a blanket statement denigrating it as having no worth?

you guys would just love talking to my friends at work who "hate" the Beatles, "period"
(in their defense, the store music player is running them into the ground) (but I don't know if I can trust the opinion of someone whose favorite band is Motorhead)(oops did I do it again)
I wonder if The Beatles' time/relevance is slowly passing... like so many forgotten innovative legends of yore...
PS some jerk just sold me a broken M201 on ebay, so I'm having a fun day

dunno, has nearly everyone in pop music stopped ripping them off yet?
i would hardly call The Beatles "forgotten".
as for the question put by the OP, i am increasingly of the opinion that the answer is YES.

that's kind of part of it... people break ground, then the masses take those pieces and run... to the point of eventually (decades later) possibly surpassing the originator in enjoyability, and most certainly in timely relevance.
kind of like how hardly anyone you'll meet listens to original era blues recordings... or elvis records... doo wop... even though these things are relatively modern
it's more... stevie ray, john mayer... MIA... movie soundtracks...
maybe this is a weak point, but I wonder if the beatles are getting there...to the past masters "homework listening" / esoteric interest bracket. not all the way, mind you... but getting there...

personally, i would
never refer to the aforementioned group as "greatest band of all time, ever".
here a "shitstorm" would be $posterwithclue locking horns with that guy who "would record Shirley Manson for free 24/7".
