So...I sometimes send mixes to my email to listen the next day. My adapter from lightning to 3.5mm really messes with the stereo image and general sound quality. it's a cheap little white adapter from amazon (2 for $9).
Can anyone recommend a high quality alternative? I have looked around and found a few reviews but I'd like to hear from recording peeps.
Thanks, DD

I mean — if you're determined to do this on your iPhone, why not just buy the Apple brand one? the price is 1 for $9 at apple... so it's not a huge leap. I don't use it for referencing my mixes (I do however check mixes on my AirPods / AirPods Pro from time to time) but I've used it for sending music to stereo systems for years... it works great / doesn't seem to be fouling up the stereo image in any appreciable way.

I don't have a recommendation, but I'm just curious - how does the quality of an adapter affect the stereo image?

My guess would be, negatively?Magnetic Services wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 11:58 amI don't have a recommendation, but I'm just curious - how does the quality of an adapter affect the stereo image?
Sorry, it's 90 degrees and too early to drink.

Thanks for the replies.
It just narrows the image a bit. And colors the sound...a bit. Not really game changers but annoying. I just was looking for something better. I use the skull candy silicone buds which I love on my iPod but the sound is less than stellar from the phone.
